Your big day. It came and went. Everybody said that neither of you could stop smiling. It was true.
They said that you were having way too much fun on the dance floor. That was true too. I laughed at the way that it killed John any time any one cut in on a dance with you, Taylor.
They said that you guys are perfect for each other. It's true.
But those feel like words too simple to capture the beautiful story that God has woven together in and between your lives and displayed for us all to see.
They said that you are a handsome couple. Stop. No. Let's just clear that up…total understatement. Okay?
(Morning of…at the barber shop…)
(Meanwhile…at the beauty shop…)
(At the chapel and gonna get married…)
They are all congratulating you, but you know what? I think I won big time yesterday too.
I saw my brother beaming with pride as he used the word "wife" for the first time. I got that sister I always wanted. She adores my brother and still holds his hand when no one is looking.
I don't know when I'll see you next, but we're family, right? Sooner or later, I'll be on your back porch again with the smell of the grill rolling and we'll be catching up on all we've missed.
Until that day,
xoxo
