losing heart.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; 

perplexed, but not driven to despair; 

persecuted, but not forsaken; 

struck down, but not destroyed...

2 Corinthians 4:8,9

...So we do not lose heart. 

Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. 

2 Corinthians 4:16,17

Those days I feel afflicted in every way, pressed in on every side, and carry a heart heavily burdened by the troubles of this world, I do not lose heart. 

I can yet choose to believe that Jesus is still enough to fill to overflowing the hurting places in my soul. 

I can yet choose His joy to replace the sorrow that seems to fight for first place.  

And I can yet sing the song of praise He puts in my heart. 

So I do not lose heart.
