Each years end has always been marked by togetherness in our family.
This year was no different.
Mom roasted tomatoes and shredded fresh mozzarella. Dad rolled out homemade dough and braved the freezing weather to grill our pizzas.
With full stomachs, we cozied up on the couch, cracked open our Bibles and took turns sharing meaningful Scriptures from the year and reflected on the way the Lord provided for us.
And what better way to end the night then with some fiercely competitive games.
Friendly competition? Debatable.
Happy New Year.
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14
